I ask because i have the same problem!
I redeemed 8 games which where in a shared library with my roomate but they don't show up in my library. In acoount-> Store Transaction i can see them that they where redeemed but in Licenses-Subscriptions don't show up.

Well my problem got resolved, i think by itself! My account got updated or something.
As i said i opened a ticket and after the initial automated email from support (which said thank you for contacting support and we will look into your problem sometime in the following days) i didn't received any other contact.
2 and 1/2 days later the games just appeared in my library!(no email, no answer in the ticket, no ticket closed by support)
After that i waited a couple of days, for some kind of response from support but nothing, so i had to close the ticket by myself since the problem was solved! :)
Not for me, I've been sharing libraries with my brother since the start of family sharing, and he's been sharing with me, and I usually get new game keys from Tremorgames every week, never had a problem with them showing when I activated.
Referals son, I earn 20% of the coins they earn, and I have like 200 referals.
Anyways, I've activated games my brother owned and doesn't own, no problem. I've only faced a problem with activating a Gift once, not a CD Key, and the game turned up within 20 minutes.
The strange thing was that Steam showed my roommate online in my friends list while she was offline, sitting in the couch watching tv and had her computer shut down. It seemed strange to me and i thought that my local Steam installation got stuck, i exited (from menu Steam->Exit) and restarted Steam but nothing, it still showed her online. So i restated my PC and the router (so i even got new ip) i started Steam and still it showed her online!!!
Anyway i didn't give more attention, so i went and redeemed 8 games from Humble Bundle which were already in my roommate's shared library. But the games didn't show up in My Games library as they did in the past.
The thing is, in my Account-> Store Transaction the 8 redeemed games transactions got registered but not in Account->Licenses-Subscriptions! I have seen this thing happen before when a friend of mine activated by mistake a game that he already had in his library.
Also half hour later (while trying to find solution) i asked my roommate to login to Steam to see what will happen. Her account from my friends list went offline for a second and then online, so i guess it got unstuck(Steam servers realized she wasn't online the past hours  )
My conclusion is that Steam with Share Library and activation of games that are in the shared library works fine .... most of the time(let's say 99.9%)!
But we can't ignore the fact that there are people who had problem and the thing that they had in common is that they had share library active (since it's a problem that Steam "thinks" that you already have the game and it doesn't show it in your Library or Licenses-Subscriptions)
So it must be a bug, glitch or something (maybe severs going down and not update correctly), that prevents the Steam from distinguishing the games from your Library and the Shared Library. Maybe it's the new way that Humble Bundle redeem the games through Steam (instead of giving you activation keys like in the past) who knows.
@Bill Cipher: The fact that it didn't happened to you or many other (even me until last week i could of sworn that it works great and there is no problem) doesn't mean that there isn't some kind of problem, it's just mean you are not unlucky enough to be in the 0.01% of cases that this happens for some technical reason. :-)
