What games can i play with my PC specs?
Hi im new here and wondering what are some of the best games that i can enjoy with my PC and get the best experience out of. Here is my system info:

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II P940 Quad-Core Processor 1.70 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
System type: Windows 7 64 bit
Graphics card: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

If you can list a bunch of popular games i can play that will run smoothly and ill get a good experience (even if i have to put all the settings on the lowest) that would be great, thanks

hey thanks for commenting, a while back i tried playing l4d1 and it was real choppy and laggy and this was back when i got my PC 3 years ago. Out of that list what games you think will run good guarenteed? Also in your opinion what do you think i need desparatly to upgrade my PC to run games that look better than PS3/X360 games? Do you think im better off just buying a new PC?

to upgrade you will need a new notebook

the 880g was a good chipset for onboard video at the time (2010)
but amd has made huge improvements since then

even the intel 3000-4000 can match/beat the 4200/4250

Build a Desktop if you want the performance.

Can't promise anything wil lplay cause integrated graphics that are not either AMD APU or Intel HD from i-series CPU might not be supported. Even the 2 I mentioned do not enjoy support as widely as desktop cards. Still here are things I'd try:

*Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind GOTY Edition
*Half Life (original) or *maybe* the Half Life Source remake.
*Age of Empires 2 HD
*Evochron Mercenary
*WH40K Dawn of War 1 and expansions (this might not work well, didn't run good on Intel Atom integrated graphics except for one of the expansions)

You can also try lots of Free-to-Play games like DoTA 2 or TF2 since it costs nothing except bandwidth and time to test them. Just turn the settings down to lowest and the resolution to lowest if you have problems and see if that makes them playable. DoTA2 settings can be put very low.

You can build a good basic desktop PC for $350~ and a proper gaming system starting at $450~ for the towers only. So if possible with your financial situation I'd strongly recommend building a desktop for gaming. Here are my saved builds which may be helpful:

Hope that was helpful.

i have a desktop PC its a Dell and its kinda old, maybe has like 2 or 4 GB of ram, not sure the specs i have to check, i dont use it. the thing is i like laptops because theyre portable and basically the same thing as a desktop PC, i rather get a newer laptop then buy a whole new desktop PC and build it. what do you think is the best brand of laptop for performance and will last long and which one in general is the best for under 1000 dollars? Im thinking of getting an Asus or Toshiba or maybe even a Dell, i heard those are the best, i would get an Alienware but theyre too expensive. I hate HP, this is my first computer/laptop im using now (HP G62) and ill probably never buy an HP computer again.
