downloads wont actually download
i recently bought arma 3 and my day was going great until i tried to download it i check my downloads and its there gathering data but not actually downloading the game it stops and starts and stops and starts but goes no where can someone help or offer any advice would be very greatful thank you

i dont know how to explain it steam says it updateong arma 3 but last night the download said 5.0 of 9.2 complete and this morning it was the same my desktop has been on all night trying to download it but it does nothing. thats the best way i can put it sorry if you dont understand

yes but it is nice to know what operating system you have.
and what type of internet connection.

try running as administrator in the link I posted.
than the UAC thing.

im running steam as administrator now how do i find out my operating system info?

is it windows?

yes must be windows , it was an easy question it is in your face every time you start the computer
in that case left bottom corner hit the windows logo or start>control panel>system.
that has all the windows info , it should say service packs too.

It can be network or steam. i recommend to log out and then sing in.

you did not mention the windows version again but service pack 1 probably means windows 7.
no information about the internet connection so I assume its normal.

take the power of your modem and router a minute see if that clears the problem.
