Activation problem gift.
Hello, I hope to be in the right category to view my problem. Here I buy a steam key the witcher 2 via a site g2play key, he is sending me the activation key as gift link, but clicking on the link, this is what I get:
OOPS grieve, An error has occurred while processing your request:

A problem was encountered while activating the gift. Please try again later, or contact Steam Support for assistance.

I es contact, and me we specify that it came from steam.

I apel to you, to be able to resolve this concern.

Got the same problem... Bought RUST from kinguin ...
I buy a key on g2play and same problem, I es contact me and several times we responded, saying that they contact the vendor and they were desoler the gene cause.
So ca teach me to buy aillor on steam ^ ^
and say I buy two different key the witcher 2 to see if it had not ben g2play and no, I have two key the witcher 2, rotting in my email ^ ^

Its very hard to understand what you are trying to say.

I bought several keys from different vendors in the past, and there were no problems.
In the past few days there are increasing amounts of complaints about gifts and keys, i think this isnt because of "shady tactics", its something about Steam.

Check under any categories, if you have them. Once a purchase of mine appeared under my "Not going to play" category though I was clueless it was there.
About this reverse money thing on Paypal: in my knowledge you can only reverse the sent money if they havent accepted it yet.

I would be very surprised if the online shops are waiting several days long without accepting payments.

Did you double check your inventory? Under "Gifts".
yes it tells me you have no item in your inventory under the gifts section.

From what I can tell it is obviously a steam issue but some communication from them about it wouldn't go a miss even if it's just a general announcement about it so we all know what is going on and just to confirm there is a problem there end.

It's been more than 24hours since I logged a ticket and not had any response at all about it.

Jesus. Do you want me to read the links to you? The information is out there. The first few likns found by Google should be enough. This forum is also filled with threads about kingiun (sp?) and how they have fleeced customes in the past.

I have an update as my issue has been resolved.

I purchased my activation gift from Code4game.com which didn't work first time and they have since sent me a new link to try which has worked just fine.

Anyone who is having issues still I would ask for the gift to be resent to you and try again.

I would also recommend Code4game.com if you want to buy game codes etc as there support are really helpful and respond quick.

When i had problem with my gift i told them, and they resent the gift activation link to me, but that didnt work either.
Then they said i should contact Steam Support because its obviously a Steam problem

Update: i tried the link again, and it worked, i have the game.
So it was indeed some temporary Steam problem.
