Activation problem gift.

Hello, I hope to be in the right category to view my problem. Here I buy a steam key the witcher 2 via a site g2play key, he is sending me the activation key as gift link, but clicking on the link, this is what I get:
OOPS grieve, An error has occurred while processing your request:

A problem was encountered while activating the gift. Please try again later, or contact Steam Support for assistance.

I es contact, and me we specify that it came from steam.

I apel to you, to be able to resolve this concern.

I have the same problem right now. It seems the steam servers had some kind of problems yesterday, though I'm not sure if that is still the case. So what I did was to write a Steam ticket and hopefully they can solve the problem.
If they can't solve it, you can still reverse the money if you paid via PayPal or something similar. You should probably also try to contact the support of the site where you bought it.

Same problem here. Got the gift activation link yesterday, tried yesterday, tried today. I've sent a ticket to steam support hoping they would help. Probably it's an issue for everyone

Same problem here, bought today a gift code from Plague Inc. Evolved on gameladen.com, and same error message in German for me.

I try to control the key gift on another site, same problem, same error message, I buy twice the witcher 2 and it does not work.

Same here too, it seems to be a Steam problem.

If anyone can get it work please leave a message here so the others will know the problem is solved.

Go whine to the shady cd-key shop you bought it from. THEY are the ones that screwed you over not Steam.

Next time dont buy from shady cd-key shops

I whined to them, they said the problem is likely on Steams side.
