Steam is working under -TCP parameter but not in default UDP
Last night Steam was working just fine without any single problem
today it stopped and keep saying I don't have connection to the internet
I searched a lot and found that I can use -tcp parameter to connect via tcp protocol
it worked and I'm in and the games working just fine

I'm asking here why the sudden change ?
and is there a problem when connecting via TCP protocol ?
I have never installed any anti virus or a firewall , nothing changed since last night.

so is it a problem from my side?
is there anything wrong with connecting via TCP ?

Thanks

Remove AppUpdateStats.blob and ClientRegistry.blob from your Steam directory, then login again without tcp parameter. The problem occured to me over last night as well, but it was not the first time this happend to me.

You can connect via TCP of course, but unlike UDP it is a reliable protocol, which means that it recognizes data loss and will correct it. In live scenarios (playing, speech-chat ...) this can be troublesome, because you don't want to get disturbing packets "from the past".

Same problem as OP but i don't have any "APPUpdateStats.blob" or "ClientRegistry.blob" in the Steam directory.

Is there another solution ?
