Can't Change Settings because I can't shutdown. Can't change anything or improve my situation because of this fundamental problem.

I can't shutdown. I can't change settings. I can't play games. I can't sync to my cloud games. I've tried everything. Config files, ClientRegistry, Restart, Reinstall, Complete deletion, Flushconfig... a lot of processes don't seem to take effect because I simply cannot exit the program. Even when I make changes within the preferences, they instantly revert back to their previous state. I'm stuck in Steam Limbo. Please help me Steam and Internet Geniuses

do you just want the applications folder? or do you want more than that?

in windows you have a list with installed programs were you can uninstall them properly.(programs and features on w7)
thats were I always start my cleanups.

if you have an internet connection in safe boot you can do your steam settings I think.
but it is a work around not a solution.

stickies sounds like a custom theme kind of thing , could bug steam.
timemachine sounds intrusive to me.
magican sounds like crap to me.
Exposé is something I would want to exclude.

I did not check anything with an "i" in the name.

but I hope some nerd MACer has better solutions I am just going for the obvious for windows users.
