Can I play CD ARMA 3 with friends who have it on steam?
It is my birthday and my mum has ordered me ARMA 3 and I was wondering if I can play with my friends on diffrent servers still if they have ARMA 3 on steam?

if I try to read what you mean is your mom is not buying from steam and you are worried it will not work with your friends who have it on steam?

do not worry your version will be a steam version too.

yes that game requires steam.
it will be the same as buying it from steam.

From what I've seen online the retail copy of that is activated via Steam.

mount and blade can be installed without steam.
the developer or publisher of that game was nice enough to convert you retail key to a steam key.
I can not garantee they still do that.

playing that game multiplayer with steam and none steam players I don't know.
loved the game but I would never play online myself.

I think he was asking why the developer wouldn't convert his cd key to a steam key, just a heads up.

yes and i leave the nuance in my answer it was no yes or no.

if you buy warband of steam the key will work on the stand alone demo making it the full game.

maybe he asked why I am not playing it online.
because I bought it for single player. :)
