Steam stops and cancels downloading games when PC is on sleep mode.
For the past three days I have been having some issues with steam and games downloading from steam.

First issue if a game is downloading and I must restart steam (log out and log back in) due to a steam bug like I can't trade, the game I was downloading cancels itself and I must restart the download all over again.

Second issue if I am downloading a game over night and my pc goes on sleep mode whilst the game is downloading the game stops and cancels the download.

Please provide help, I am sick and tired of steam doing this crap. I have never had problems with the downloads stoping when the PC is on sleep mode.

Please help.

Go to your PC's power management settings and make sure your network card, HDD, etc. are not being powered down when your PC enters Sleep mode. If important items are powered down then downloads will be cancelled.
