Can't get to badges page

I've noticed, that pretty often, when I try to go to my "Badges" page it simply redirects me to my main profile page... Sometimes it loadsa fter a few tries, but these past 2 days or so - no luck. Problem seems to be consistent in IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Steam Client...

I haven't been able to consistently access mine since the Winter Sale. I reported this to Steam a while back and they didn't seem to care. I think it has to do with how many games we have. I can get to the badges page on a smaller account, but not my main one with over 1800 games. You have over 2000, so I assume you are in the same boat.

It looks like it times out and redirects with too many games. Mine works maybe 1 in every 30 tries, at this point. This is with Chrome, Firefox, and Steam browsers.

Yours may be working now, but I figured I would add this, to show you aren't alone. I search it out on Google here and there. I happened to catch this post.

I know I am not alone, because Valve confirmed, that they know about this issue and are working on it. Dunno if they fixed it, but past few days it works fine for me.

At least you got confirmation of the problem. I put up with it for over a month, then back in January I filled out a ticket about it. They did their ignore it post, where they told me to delete everything unneeded in my Steam account and try again. I pointed out that I had already stated it wasn't just on Steam. They replied a second and final time.

We will investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

So yeah, you can see how much they care. No only has it been over a month since that reply, but they also made sure to note that they wouldn't follow up on it. How kind of them. I can't even tell what games get have badges, most days.

well, there is a petition against Valve support... But, I know all too well, how it sucks... Like totaly untechnological people out there... Did you know that in some cases on Market your price gets reducted by 0.01 point? And percentage of you income is sometimes incorrect if you follow the mails? These are dynamic issues, that they wanted screenshots of. Screenshots of static paramters taken at different tiems. Ingenious. But enough offtopic ;)

I just used Enhanced Steam on individual games. It tells from the Store page if you have drops left. If something doesn't link, I use the steam id number for the game and check manually on the badges page. That is of course for games I just added to my collection. Older games require either going to the badges page (That one time it works per day) or actually using a list of games that just got cards (Too lazy to do).

It really is a huge pain without your badges page. People wouldn't realize it, until they didn't have access to it.

Odd... I can get on mine easily. Just press the level number on your Steam profile at the top.

I can't tell how many games you have, since your profile is set to private. It seems to happen with many games that could be listed on the badges page. As far as I can tell, the servers are configured wrong for that many games and if a problem occurs when trying to load them, it simply redirects the user back to the profile. It might be timing out or running out of allotted memory, on their end.

The short version is that, no matter how we try and get to the badges page, it will almost always redirect us back to our profile and never show the page.

You can't see the same badges page for another person, that you can see for yourself. You can only see completed/earned badges for another person. On your own account, you can see all the badges that have drops remaining, plus some of the others, as well as the stuff that others can see on your account. We can't access our own pages to see this stuff. No one else can tell you what badges have card drops remaining.

I'm having the same problem now, just started today.

I can't even access from the Inventory screen, I can only go to specific games that have cards for that badge.

I am no longer able to see which games I have drops for.

EDIT: Just tried this morning to get to my badges page and it loaded, going to monitor this for awhile, I bet that there were some issues with the page in general affecting some/many/all users.
