It will keep your drivers up-to-date as well as apply optimized settings to most of your latest games which you have scanned (just add the steam folder to the search list). It calculates all your hardware to give the best quality vs performance possible without the lag. Might help you out for now.
But srsly, that card is archaic, such an old card cannot really be increased by just updating drivers or getting software.
Yeah you are just a tad behind :P
I would suggest what The Rolling Ham Cheese said, which is to upgrade as soon as possible, the amount of things that you can run on that card are fairly limited.
True, yeah, since my Dad left, I ain't getting 100 quid per month, so it's quite a tight moment right now...
It uses insanely little RAM and CPU that it does not affect the system, it updates the card for you and has alot of neat features.
That is true but really its not going to make any difference to a card that old, the latest driver is probably the last one and it will never get another.
True that his card will not benefit from GeForce Experience, but in general for newer cards it is a good thing to have :)
You're simply better off really just buying a new laptop with an HD4000/5000 in it. While not a 'uber gaming death machines', 'most' and that is in air quotes for a reason, games will kinda sorta work on it.Most even terrible junky laptops will have an Intel HD4000/5000 but double check to be sure. Investing in a 'gaming laptop' is simply idiotic imho
