How do I write a review?

I have searched high and low and I can't find a simple button titled, "Write a Review"....WTF Steam? You would think the Review button would be found where the reviews are posted….no such animal. I have found this to be the case more often than not with your interface, for instance, I had to watch a YouTube video just to change my password….pathetic!....Have your developers ever heard of KISS...look it up. Finding steam interfaces is far from intuitive; it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Just go onto the store page of the game and you can write a review there.

Or click "Write a review" on the right side of the game page in your library.

You also have to own the game to actually write a review.

You need to have played the game on Steam, so if you've played it through Family Sharing or during a free weekend, you can still review it if you don't own the game.

You can't really review a game you've only played over the weekend.

Sure you can, depending on the game. Lots of people finished Saints Row IV during its free weekend.

Well if you 36h the game then yes, not everyone plays it from Friday night to Monday evening non-stop though.

thx this helped. its just weird because before I could write a review in a text box on the store page for a game.....which is gone now....though apparently not for everyone......?? but now I can do it through my games library so thx for that! :)

these are stupid problems to have, and i dont blame the end-user, i blame the developers... at one point i had lost the ability to add a friend on the app and could only do so on the web based steam... just saying... i do love steam and hope the movement keeps rolling forward but as more and more non-tech savy's try the platform, seems silly to turn them away for non user friendly interface options. shouldnt need youtube to add a friend or write a review ..come on.
