Do Weekend deals stay in your library forever if downloaded?

So Recently, i got borderlands 2 for weekend deal, and i cant play it and its making me make a purchase, so, can you answer if it stays in the library forever?

Until you uninstall it. But if you want to play the game you will need to purchase it.

It stays in your inventory as an installed game but you won't be able to play it any further after the weekend. Instead of the 'Play' button you will see a 'Purchase' button.

Why is it a rip off? I think free weekends are a great thing. It gives you plenty of time to try a game so you can decide if you think the game is worth buying.

Yeah, it's a free weekend, not a giveaway... and it generally helps to read what the text says: it told you that you can play it for free until sunday...
