Hero siege
so a lot of people say the hero siege is for mac, and the trailer itself at the end said pc,mac,ios, android. so I buy the game and normally it tells me before I buy it that its only for windows (I have a mac) but it did not. So I buy it, and then I notice: the steam store said that it was only for windows. But I did not get a message saying I have the wrong platform. then i bought it, the purchase went through then BAM. This game is not for your platform. I read reviews saying that its now for mac. I am very counfused. please help.

The version on steam is Windows only (as you can see from the store page). If you look above the add to cart button you will only see the Windows Icon.

If a game is for Mac it will have a Mac icon there as well.

For example: X:3 Reunion: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2810/?snr=1_7_15__13

yes I understood that, but why would it let me buy it in the first place? before it did not. and the trailer said it did and many reviews on steam as well... so will it be for mac on steam? XD

To be fair, I can see the confusion. Two examples (that exist on Steam) being the video lists Mac and there is even a stickied thread in that games Steam discussions titled "MAC OSX Support Added". The best rule of thumb, however, is to go by the icons Vaemer-Riit mentioned.

I would consider contacting the developer and seeing what their plan is with Steam and Mac, OP.

It probably let you buy it because you aren't required to use steam on only one computer. It would suck if during a sale you could only access a Mac and wanted to get a game that is PC only.

As for the Mac version and it coming to steam: That is on the Dev/Publisher, most will make the game steamplay making all the versions available on one purchase while others will require you to purchase the different platform versions separately. (For example Activision and COD:BLOPS http://store.steampowered.com/app/214630/?snr=1_7_15__13)
