How long can a password be?

I recently changed my password to a 32 character password, but I really would prefer to set it to the maximum.

I have been looking for what the maximum might be, but I haven't been able to find anything on password length.

Does anyone know?

no longer than 26 you can set it longer but than you can not change it without support.

I had that with my 32 strong.

The max length is exactly that, 32.
Edit: Like Spoof said, you'll need Steam Support if you have a 32 letter long password.

You should focus on making your password difficult, rather than just long.
You can use the first / last letter of a song / poem.
Numbers from somewhere, like a game.

Then write it down for a few days, when you start remembering it without the paper, you can rip the paper apart.

I don't even know my password actually. I use a entropy + random generator and store it with KeepassX

try changing that 32 strong I got a ding sound when changing at 26 caracters and had to have support reset my pass.
