Activate Steam Market

So i got a message that i need to purchase something and wait 30 days to activate the steam market. So i added some money in my steam wallet and brought a DOTA 2 key. my question is will it work? is this count as a purchase or not? or do i need to buy a real game from the steam store.

adding wallet funds is enough.

to check if it worked go to the market and point at the sell button.

edit:beside the point but ingame purchases do not count.

if you read to the bottom it say the exact time and date you can use the market.

if not restart steam and look again.

oke i browsed to Community-market and pointed my mouse on 'sell an item' button it says the exact same thing. didnt purchase year...... make a purchase...... wait 30 days . i restarted my steam too and still there is no time and date.

maybe the method you added the funds with does not count.
when I did this for a friend last week the popup gave me a date and time straight away.

this is what the FAQ states.

The purchase of wallet funds qualifies for becoming trusted.

that should do the job fine maybe wait a day the steam servers are not doing great.

oke i think i need to wait 30 days or steam need to authorized my device which is 15 days

you need steam guard enabled and than the restriction for that ends in 15 days.

steam is not going to autorize your device for you , you do that if needed.

so not an issue than.
it could have been off if your account was older before steam guard.

the popup should give you a time and date , maybe check tomorrow.
