Full size screenshot does not open

In Steam software, whenever I click on a screenshot that was uploaded to steam, the popup showing the screnshot in bigger size (but not full size) and some comments opens correctly. Also the link to the page of the screenshot that shows all comments (and managing options) works correctly.

But when I click on the actual image, the new window opens and instead of the full size shot the window stays empty and the loading symbol in the upper right corner stays forever while the image never loads.

With my browser I have a similar prolem, it always asks me with which application to open it. But when I tell him with itself he does open it (Firefox btw).
Yes, I think there is a connection, but I have no idea why.

This was not always the case, the problem began just recently. I used to be able to open full size shots properly.

Anyone having the same problem? Possible causes and fixes?

Try using a web browser instead of the Steam client. It can be less buggy at times...

Funny thing is my browser always asks me with which application to open it. But when I tell him with itself he does open it (Firefox btw). Should have mentioned that as well.

Is there anyway to force it to open in the browser versus it using the steam:// protocol?

I don't understand, you mean forcing steam to open it in the browser?

Copy paste the URL of the fullscreen on the browser. (the one with UGC).

That's strange, your URL works (browser opened image immediately), the URL of another screenshot I tried didn't (browser asked me again how to open).

Bleh, I removed it after noticing it works on my client too. Surprisingly enough.

The Crysis 3 screenshot works fine, which means that only some (newer) screenshots are affected.

Hehe, yeah, only new screenshots are messed up. I just opened my oldest screenshots and they worked perfectly. So it's a recent screwup.

Well, it's a server -side issue, so there's not much we can do about it, but wait for it to get fixed.

It's a file extension problem.

• Tried to download the file and the type is N/A.
  
• Added the .jpg to the end
  
• Voilá, it works.

I mean stuff like this Click me[www.dropbox.com]
