And now, I just lost connection to Steam Client on this account. Too afraid to try and log back in.

Perhaps it's a hacker attack, randomly deleting Steam users. In that case, I guess Valve will have to roll back the database to a couple days ago.

Someone send some mail around to PC Gamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Shacknews, Eurogamer, hell, even Kotaku. Once the articles about "Steam's latest blunder: over a million gamers' account information deleted" are up, Gabe's ears should start perking our way.
Going to wait for a report on why this happened, and maybe change my password.
