Steam doesn't store your home address, does it? Just enter the correct address on the checkout/billing page. Do you mean to edit a stored payment method?

Contact your bank and verify what address they have on file for you. If it matches what you've entered on the checkout page contact Steam Support for billing issues. You can contact them here. You will need to create a separate Steam Support account in order to submit a ticket.

Additional information: Steam Support > Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company due to an incorrect address being entered.

A ticket is how you contact Steam Support for billing help.

The $64.99 that was "taken" is probably just on-hold with your bank. This happens all the time when a credit card purchase fails. When your bank sees that the transaction with Valve failed, the money will be returned to your account. This typically takes about three business days.

Steam Support > Buying Games through Steam and Billing Questions

Why was I charged twice for my purchase or charged for a purchase that says it failed?

In both of these cases, when a purchase fails one of the banking fraud checks, your bank may place a hold on the funds for up to 5 business days. These funds will not be collected by Valve. Please contact your bank to see if they will release the held funds.

If you still see a pending charge after 5 business days, please contact Steam Support so that we can investigate and help resolve the issue with your bank.

yeah so i've been waiting 4days but still not giving me the money is it because i'm using pre-paid card? they don't give you the money back if you are using pre-paid card?

They should - where did you get your pre-paid card from? That may actually be why it failed in the first place. Is this a pre-paid credit card from a store? Did you ever registere an address to it?

As per the same site I liked above:

Can I use a gift card or virtual card?

It is possible to order through Steam with a gift card from one of the credit card issuers listed above, however, the card needs to be one that can be used to make online purchases and we require that the address information and security code for the card be an exact match to the gift card or virtual card issuer's system.

We recommend that you inquire with the card issuer to ensure you can use the card to make online purchases and have the correct address and security code to complete the transaction. In some cases you can register your billing address through the gift card company's website.

Okay. If you're certain that the address information was correctly entered when you registered it and it's been four days you can try contacting Steam Support through the links I posted in post #5. They may be able to tell you why it's failing - it may be something not too obvious or something on their end. Keep an eye on the balance though to see if it comes back on its own, as it should.

but this is what they sent me when i already contacted them: Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello *****,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We apologize for the delay.

Our records indicate that your purchase was declined. The credit card billing address that you entered did not match the address registered with your bank.

Your credit card issuer may have authorized the purchase and placed a temporary hold on the funds. We will not accept funds from your bank for this purchase and the transaction was automatically canceled through the processor. As we distribute our products electronically, we do not accept transactions that are not a complete match with the Address Verification System (AVS).

Before attempting your purchase again, please verify the exact address, city, and zip code your credit card company has on file for you.

Once the bank reconciles your account and sees that we have not collected funds for that transaction, the locked funds should be released -- which can take up to 10 business days.

If you have any further questions please feel free to respond to this ticket.

so.......what do i do? I don't know what exactly i put on the address when i tried to buy arma. is there anyway i can check it? because i get kinda confused with my address sometimes.

Can you go back to the registration site for the gift card and double check how you entered your address? As long as you enter it into Steam exactly how it is on that page it should work. Double check that the CVV/security code is right, too. If it doesn't I'm sorry but I don't know what else may be wrong.

so how do i enter in to Steam?
WhereIsBusmin Jan 30, 2014 @ 2:00am
Make sure what you enter into this page[imgur.com] matches exactly with what you registered on the card.

If you're certain it matches and it still doesn't work, I'm stumped. Maybe try contacting the gift card people - there should be a phone number on the back of the card.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for those missing funds - per the message Valve sent you, it can take up to 10 days for the funds to be returned to you, but often times it's less of a wait.
