Sold Rocksmith on ebay, How can i transfer id key?

Hey, I couldnt get the game to work so i sold it on ebay. Can anyone tell me how to transfer the id key to the new user? thanks

You can't. Once you activate the key it's bound to an account permanently. It cannot be unbound.

Refund the person that bought it from you.

or just give them all my login info, i imagine that would work the same no? as long as i changed the contact email all they would need to do is be stuck with my account name. this is the only reason i installed steam so i will never need an account again

Then the buyer would have to log into a separate account just for one game...

If you sell the account, Steam will probably ban it because it's against the terms.

Selling the account (which is basic what your suggesting) may get it banned and they wouldn't be able to use the game anyway.

As I said. Refund them and keep the game for a time when you can play it. There is no 2nd hand market for PC games.

Selling your account is against the ToS and selling cd keys on on ebay is not allowed under their ToS, I would suggest you return the money to whoever bought it and hope that they don't lock your steam account.

You should probably just refund the money and pray that the buyer doesn't decide to take some sort of action against you.

Selling the account (giving it away for free as part of your rocksmith ebay sale) will end up getting it disabled. You'll need to just settle it via ebay now.

ok thanks. i wasn't trying to sell the key. my computer couldn't handle the game so i unloaded the game completely. i NEVER plan on using steam in the future. i only signed up because i had to, im not a gamer in ANY way. the program seemed interesting so i thought id try it. thanks for your help
