What Are the Rules for Steam Screenshots?
I've seen some screenshots of video games with nudity in friends list and in public. As long as they are friends only or for yourself it can not be penalized?

Well if your friends reported it, it can still be penalized, but private screenshots (your eyes only) are safe.

I can't actually find any rules regarding screenshots. Not sure how this would apply to games like Vindictus where the majority of characters are practically nude, or Bioshock Infinite which has racist symbolism everywhere. I would imagine that if it's content within the game then it's OK to screenshot it because it would be behind the age verification screen(?)

Could you quote it from the Steam User Agreement. Using keyword search did not find anything.

I'm too lazy to do that, but I speak from experience. Some of my nude shots and/or boob shots has been banned from community but they are not removed. They are set to private which is for my eyes only. I cannot set it to friends only as that option is greyed out.

The screenshots were from DNF, and the game is rated M. I notice other boob shots aren't removed but were not rated nearly as high as mine, so I assume the system goes off reports. Obviously more people seeing my screenshots at the top = more reports from uptight folks.

Okay so a moderator removed a picture from the community page and set the picture to user only. Did you get a warning?

Yes you do get a warning. I received a yellow alert on the image as well as an email notification.

Still I'm interested in seeing what the User Agreement has to say about this. All the key words were searched.

I don't see anything on nudity.

All the other areas of the community hub disallow it according to their respective rules pages. Again, I am assuming that as long as it's in-game content it's OK.

It isn't as my boob shot from DNF was removed regardless of it clearly being in the game.

Not sure if it was a modded Duken Nuken Forever game, but the game also has pornography.
