Garry's mod texture issues
I have had Garry's mod for quite a while now, I have had this problem where the textures are black and pink with errors in them before but the problem resolved itself (I assume with an update). But I feel like this shouldn't happen at all, not only do I have garry's mod but I have several of the source games including L4D2 and CS:Source. Can I fix this manually or do I have to wait for Steam to notice this and patch it?

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think valve has anything to do with patching Gmod, I think garry does it, and he might be about done with it himself.
