TRIDEF 3D not working with STEAM

Hello everyone,
The latest update to the Steam PC platform has caused all my Steam Games to stop working with the TriDef 3D software. The Games in Steam still work normally, but just not in 3D with the TriDef software. TriDef still works with non-Steam Games though. In the TriDef Games properties there is the 'rungameid' present also, as reading another thread it said that needs to be there for TriDef to work but it has not made any difference.
When I start 'Launch' a Game within the TriDef window there is something that unpacks/installs every time before the games starts, it is that quick I have not been able to see what it is....the game proceeds to start but not in 3D....any answers on how to fix.
I have 3x LG D2770 3D monitors set up in triple screen....triple screen 3D in just magic :)

TriDef and Steam have worked amazingly well for me in the past number of years that I have had it, one Steam Update has stopped all that...Any answers appreciated.

I have Asylum and City both seem to be working fine heres what I do for those games; first I open up the task manager(cntl,alt,delete) end process on steam, second restart steam with Tri def (make a 3D profile for steam itself), third open up Batman etc in your steam library they will all be using tridef, finally toglle power 3D on while in game using alt,shift, V. Try that and see what happens

Thank you for your explain. I do what you say but no 3D possible (I can't access to the 3D menu within the game and I can't activate the virtual 3D). Thanks for your help, if it's work with you, I will wait, maybe it's just one other process which create this issue. Regards

The issue is with my antivirus : Comodo.
I don't understand why, but if I exit it, batman works fine in 3D! I will change the setting of this antivirus.

I'm new to tridef 3d and I have no games outside steam, and it won't work, no 3d at all, shortcuts won't work, nothing... what's the status of the steam-tridef incompatibility problems?

Strange, problems have been fixed since last year. Did you install the newest version of STEAM?
Did you downloading the actually version of Tridef? Its now 6.3.
Otherwise you can read in the Tridef-Forum if others get problems again too.

Yeah, it's strange, all threads I find discussing a similar problem date back to when there were some general incompatibility issues between steam and tridef. tried everything I could possibly think or find online and nothing so far... reinstalling steam right now... (I was trying to avoid it, having to reainstall all my games etc)

No luck...

It didn't happen all the times I installed the program, but on most of them (it was uninstalled and reinstalled a hundred times since yesterday), I've got the errors below for some of the .dll files:

Error opening file for writing

C:\Program Files (x86)\TriDef3D\Tridef\TriDefIgnition\Driver\TriDefD3D10.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\TriDef3D\Tridef\TriDefIgnition\Driver\TriDefD3D11.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\TriDef3D\Tridef\TriDefIgnition\Driver\TriDefIgnition.dll

I can choose to ignore each of the .dll files and the installation goes all the way through, except that when I run the games through ignition it's not side-by-side or whatever output I try, any games (tried portal, wh space marine, shadowrun, stalker etc), and none of the hotkeys work, shift + alt + whatever, no sign of life whatsoever...

Once at least the error alert didn't pop up, I thought it was gonna work, but no... :/

I'll try the Tridef forums, see if I can find any help... if anyone has any suggestion, pls let me know! thx!

I was getting the .dll errors because I was uninstalling the program and leaving the ignition driver. Cleaning both before reinstall made a sucessful installation free of alerts, but it still won't work :/

Sad to hear no success until yet.
Did TriDef working in the past? And what had you changed before that problem came up?

One idea is to reinstall the GFX-driver. And DirectX also. Good luck, hope it will fixed soon.

Hey 2ms, thanks so much for your help. I didn't think it would do it, but I just gave it a shot, downloaded and reinstalled directx... and it worked! After spending a couple of days trying out everything it's working fine now :D thx
