after trying it again, it worked perfectly.
do we know what caused it in the first place?
I need only to download Left 4 dead 2, Team fortress 2 and Dota 2
Instead of "Left 4 Dead 2" the title by the icon says "Team Fortress 2" I dismissed it as a bug, and clicked it anyway.
But it ACTUALLY takes me to Team Fortress 2. Weird, huh? So I exit that, and look at my library. Everything else seems correct, except..... I look at what is supposed to be my TF2 Icon, and it says "Portal" This is especially peculiar, because I NEVER bought Portal. I start it up, and low and behold, I'm Playing Portal for some reason.
Can someone please tell me what is going on?
Everything seems to be working fine now, though one of the games I had on my download queue had its download progress reset to 0%. :/ Oh, well.
in case you didnt realize, they are doing their jobs, it just takes time, be patient and good things will come.

After the cloud-synchronization an update was avaliable for TeamFortress (about 7.4 GB). After I downloaded and installed the update (successfully), I started TF2. I got a message that I'm new to this game and I should play the tutorial and TF2 couldn't reach the item-servers. I closed the game and restarted it but it was still the same message and TF2 couldn't reach the servers. After I closed TF2 again an Update for Portal was avaliable (about 8 MB) and another one which sized 2 GB. Then I looked in my library and some games had been changed. E.g. There are now 2 versions of Portal one of those is TF2, TF2 is now Left 4 Dead 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 is uninstalled and it is now Dota 2 (which I never played before).
What happend?
Did an error appear when the Steam-Cloud synchronized?
Is my account hijacked?
Please help me.
Greetings kind regards,

Came home from work to play some dota and I load up steam and Left 4 Dead 2 is installing (Don't even own the game). So there I was all happy due to me having a free Left 4 Dead 2 game and when I go to play Dota it isn't there.
So I searh my PC files for Dota and it isn't there, search my Uninstall program list and it is there. Click to uninstall it (did this as it usually takes you to its location on the steam client) and it told me it would delete all left 4 dead files.
So I click on left for dead and sure enough it has the dota symbol and the hours i've played and the friends who play it. Only problem is everything to do with dota is now left 4 dead (friends playing dota show up as L4D and things).
Anyway to fix this? (Tried uninstalling and reinstalling already, didn't work).
