failed due to checksum mismatch

Installed Steam under WinXP, then steam worked from this directory under Wine in Ubuntu, it updated until recent. But now it is not updating, it tries download the writes "Error: Download of package (bins_cef_win32_win7) failed due to checksum mismatch"

I downloaded these file with wget and they are downloading ok.
I'm not experienced in such things, but I checked shecksum of these files with sha256sum and shecksums is seems to be correct. Files that downloaded by Steam seems to have correct checksums too.
What is going on?

when Steam started to say that it dont support winxp, I just switched wine to win7 and Steam start works again, so question about windows version is not important

Why solved? Now It is works on linux under Wine (winver=win7), but it doesn't want to update because of "failed due to checksum mismatch"

why areyou running steam under wine

1) install linux
2) install the linux version of steam
3) play games on linux

Are you sure this problem will not repeat for linux?
I Want to find certain solution. Don't want to act blindly like in windows such as "reboot, reinstall, remain with old problem". I'm sated of it forever.

Well its going to be 1000x better and more supported than trying to do emulate steam under wine under XP

Ok. I have reasons to keep it now like this. I may need steam in windows dualboot and don not want to trash hdd with several copy of steam. Dont want to discuss about availability of memory.
I had prefer to wait till somebody will talk about problem, not about ortodox ways.

I tried to see how steam is installing for native linux.
Same problem. It doesn't download files, says "Error: Download of package ( ) failed due to checksum mismatch"
