You don't. You buy items from the Points Shop.

Steam points do not allow you to purchase games from the store, you can spend them in the Points shop: https://store.steampowered.com/points/shop

I wish you could do that I have no use for steam points. The points store is stupid.

the game developers also have no use for them. nothing stupid about the point system, it is there for you to get cosmetic items for your profile. you didnt pay for them anyway, so why complain?
