If talking about music player, just go into Steam setting, ensure that "Scan at startup" isn't enable, then next on the client itself, click View, then click music player, and hit the pause button, then close it. If this is a client issue, you can try wither method.
- Opt in, or out of Steam beta, and see if issue resolved.
- Reinstall Steam, to keep games, go to where you install Steam, delete everything except for two things, "Steamapp" folder, and "Steam.exe", once done, run the Steam.exe, and see if issue resolved.
If talking about hearing sounds from video you saw last, just click on something for web page wise, like community, or front storage page, as there two sections for whatever reason, Library on it own, while got the store, and community, and just change page can resolve this.
If you want to just get to library on start up, if you left settings for default to show store page, then go into Steam settings, click on interface, the 2nd drop down menu change it to library, then press ok, so for now own it only loads to library when you launch Steam.
do not have a cd/dvd in drev even that is seen before. (auto startup)
