Steam market unverified credit card! Thrid time it's happening.
I really need help on this one, if there's anyway to remove the restriction without verifying my debit (credit) card (because I do not have an online acc from my bank). A few months ago I added my debit card to my Steam, however a few weeks ago, I had to remove the card and use my brother's debit card to add funds and purchase (got me restricted). Now recently I used my own debit card 2 times, and it keeps telling me that the card is "unverified". I don't want this "unverified credit card" thing to appear every time I make purchase. Before I did the "Add a payment method to this account", I had no problems using other debit cards. What I doubt is that Steam has my payment method "saved" even though I removed and it's now causing me problems. Anyway to fix this?

You have to verify it.

You'll get that when you add or use a new card. It's fraud prevention. Nothing you can do besides wait or verify the card. You don't need an online account. Contact the card provider by phone.

Oh and no Valve didn't keep your card details saved after you removed it. If Steam had kept the data you wouldn't be asked to verify the card again because it would have already been verified before.

Verify or wait. No need to remove cards when you add another or you'll have to verify the card again.

Will adding funds again with my own card restrict me again from buying on the market? I mean after the restriction, will I get another restriction, and another after that?

Is your card verified?

Then of course you will be restricted again. The only way to swerve such things is by having a verified payment method attached to your account.

Damn I see. OK I've begun verification and I got mail from my bank on my phone and Steam took money from my debit card, to put that exact amount, however, the money is not in euros. I tried converting it to euros, typed it and it says "The amounts you entered did not match the amounts of the two authorizations we made on your card. You have made 1 of the 3 allowed attempts."

Though Steam says that my new wallet funds will be automatically verified after 18th of Jan. Mb there's no need for verification. "This means that you will be able to use your wallet funds on the Community Market until your new wallet funds become automatically verified after 18 Jan."

Provided you're not deleting a verified card each time you won't have a restriction. It'as deleting a verified card that is causing the issue of a card needing to be verified each time. Verify the card and keep it stored so that it's already verified in the future.

Could also try using another payment method like Paypal

No paypal in my county thats the problem. Well I'm glad I won't be restricted after that. Also taking money from my debit card or someone else's for verification is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

EDIT: The amount for verification is a token amount and it is not taken from the account. It is a pending transaction. Amount normally £1 or less are on hold and prevents you using those funds. Once the card has been verified it will no longer be pending and drop of the card without ever leaving the account.

PayPal can't be verified anyway. Verification doesn't take money permanently - it's just a test of the card and it is returned in a few business days once the process is complete. This happens on every site where continuous transactions are used or expected. It's also an essential countermeasure against fraud.
