Can I take away an award I gave to a comment and get back the points?

Hello everyone :D,
 I am sorry for my noob question. I gave a steam comment an award, but I made a mistake and gave it to the wrong user. As such, I want to delete that award and get back the points, but I see no option to do that, so I want to ask if it is possible to delete an award I gave to a comment and get back the points?

u can ask him to give u the same award, you will get some points back, that would be the best solution

It takes 3x more of the points to re-purchase the award.

That may not work if the user doesn't have any other points to begin with.

there is other way: i saw some threads where players are selling awards for gems / cards / tf2 keys, you can try to buy some or just ask that person to buy that award which you gave.

i have about 40.000 points left, if OP is so desperate, i can give him that award and he will get his points. i don't really need those points, so that would be a nice job

Resetting (not changing) your password revokes recently spent points. Not sure how long recently is but I'd assume it is 3-5 days.
