Just out of curiosity, what is the reason as to why the Rockstar account is going to be deleted?

And this is the reason why you can't use your current Steam account why you can't buy a new copy of the game. That way you can not dodge a ban like the one you got.

Which again, is a problem between you and Rockstar, not Steam.

Well, here's your problem right there. Cancel that account deletion you've asked for and wait that month.

Sounds like you should manage your accounts better then.

Frankly I feel it more the issue that Rockstar (and EA and Ubisoft and...) should manage his accounts better, for example by allowing easy bind/unbind to any Steam account, but I expect the issue there to be that motivation is somewhat low if the other option is "buy it directly from us then".

DRM sucks, and double-DRM sucks more than twice as bad.
