Stolen items through ingame gift (Dota 2)
Somehow a person secretly got access to my account. He gift wrapped a lot of expensice items.
I got scammed in the past like 10 years ago or near that. I got my account stolen completely that time and so was my items.
I created a ticked.
As far as I know steam won't return items second time.
How does it work if I have items ids and lots of them was stolen 1st time.
Does it matter? Would I at least get half of my items back? Or they are comepletely gone?
My items got stolen by ingame giftwrapping mechanics does it make any diffirence? Or it goes same as trade maket stealing?

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Steam does not return inventory items or wallet funds: https://help.steampowered.com/faqs/view/3B6E-B322-2400-8D24

If you no longer have access to your account, read this:

Thanks for reply. I was hoping since he gift wrapped my items through dota they are not tradable and not giftable for 2 weeks. So they are still on that person's account. I thought that might help since they didnt go any further and all the IDs are traceable.
It wasn't gifted through steam, but through game itself
have you get your item back from steam? cz i got same case with you
