HELP - Counter Strike 1.6 not running, visual c++ issue!

this happened when half-life updated, which affects other games based on the same hl.exe file!
it says the following:
"assertion failed!

anybody knows how to solve this?

anybody knows how to solve this?

download regular half half.. then go to games library/ counter-strike/ right click it, go to properties/ betas/ click beta participation and chose 25th annivers/ restart steam and you're all set.. you're welcome... Valve messed up with their update.

then download half life and do this in properties for half life, choose beta 25th anniversary

I'm 90 % sure it's because of the 25 years update of half life (new menu etc) CS is running on goldsrc aka half life
