Owning a vailid licence of GTA5 on rockstar launcher but when i click get on steam it says , failure no licence

I bought gta v in code and redeemed on rockstar launcher but when i click get on steam to play it it says no licence

Retail product codes for GTA 5 only work in the Rockstar Launcher. They do not grant a copy of the game for Steam. So, the message is correct. You do not have a license for the Steam copy currently installed on your computer. How did you get that one by the way?
You must buy it on Steam if you want a Steam copy of the game, which will require the Rockstar Social Club anyway.

You can play GTA5 on Steam with a key from the same platform.

i bought code for gta and i cant play it but its redeemed in rockstar

Renaming the steam folder is the best solution thank you !!! but remember to rename it back again as soon as you hit the install button
