Can not log out of Steam mobile app
Hi,

I can not log out of Steam mobile app because I have Steam authenticator running?
Why is that since the new version? This is a security flaw IMHO, I should be able to log out

Your account is tied to the app and your phone. Deleting the app will prevent your access to the QR scanner and generated codes. This is because the app will ask for a steam guard code from your phone (obviously you can’t get a generated code from your phone if you can’t login the first place). That’s why you have to migrate to either steam guard via email, move to a new phone, or disable steam guard in general.

But it was been possible to see codes without logging in, on "Enter username/password" screen. They were displayed right below "Enter password" field.

Didn't imagine updating the Steam App would be such a mistake! I'm absolutely shocked and flabbergasted that, now in the new version, one cannot log-out of the app (which is a risk) without first removing the authenticator (which is another risk), or is then forced to remain logged in 24/7 (which is also a risk!). What were they thinking? In previous versions of the app one could sign out, and it was possible to see the codes on "Enter username/password" screen (without logging in, i.e. without being forced to have the account open all the time), and they were normally displayed right below "Enter password" field, and refreshed every few seconds. I really don't understand this change in Steam Guard and the app. I do not get it. Why do they do this?
