I can't change my profile summary.

Anyone else having the same problem? Tried it on the desktop app, mobile app and browser. Can't change, delete or edit the profile summary while everything else is working fine.

Open Steam on Big Picture Mode and then edit your profile summary from there. If you see symbols such as <> or ? in your summary and it is not present on your profile, remove it as it is probably the cause of the issue.

Thanks for the answer. I did see "</br>" in there, but unfortunately it still doesn't save the profile summary after trying to removing it.

Deleting downloads cache maybe will help as it forces a log out and log in not just exit and close Steam restart. .

It is a new cooldown for editing your profile. Wait a few hours and try again.

Yup, seems like it was some kind of cooldown. I don't remember exactly how long it took me to finally edit my profile, but I'd say like 4 hours maybe. Could be longer tho.

I hope you were able to change the typo by now. I really have no idea why Valve would need to implement such a strict cooldown on people's own profiles, but at least it isn't something that needs to be changed that often. Still annoying, of course.

Because of people getting their accounts hijacked and the hijackers are editing profiles too much, deleting and adding stuff.

Okay, this makes much more sense now. Although (I personally) wouldn't see editing a profile 4 to 5 times in a few minutes as spam, as long, as it isn't reoccurring every few minutes, or the requests weren't made within only a few milliseconds, or seconds.
Maybe it's also just a bug which causes the client to send multiple requests, instead of only one request to edit the profile.
But in the end, this cooldown will have it's reason to exist for sure.
