How to stop steam on startup?

I've googled the settings on steam software and windows 10 and how to stop it from starting up. Both of those have been done. I also used CCleaner to try to see if it was in the startup there but it was wasn't (meaning the Windows 10 startup was correct)

None of that matters as steam is still in my startup tray at the bottom right every single time I log into my computer. What is else is there that can stop it without uninstalling?

Have you tried Steam top left>settings>interface>first box untick > Run Steam when my computer Starts. Okay it.

Yeah that's what I did first. It's currently unchecked. Still running when I startup

In your taskbar, search for Startup Apps located in system settings and you can disable Steam and any other programs in there.

I went to system settings > start up Apps. Steam is not there on the list.

I also go to Task Manager > Startup Tab, it's not there either

Try these two and remove any shortcuts of stuff you don't want to load

Windows + R to bring up Run menu
shell:common startup
and
shell:startup

I'm curious. Where did everyone that's replied so far get the instructions they shared from?
Wherever it was gotten from is complete trash. None of it is accurate.

The startup programs are in the Task Manager in the Startup Tab.
There's several ways to open task manager:

Press ctrl+alt+delete keys at the same time then select Task Manager from the screen that loads.

Right-Click on the task bar (bottom of screen) and select Task Manager from the menu.

Right-Click on the Start Button and select it from that menu.

When task manager opens go to the Startup tab. Should be self explanatory from there.

Another way is typing Startup after opening the start menu and pressing enter.

If it's not in either of those places to disable are you using some kind of other program that's controlling what apps start up when windows starts? Maybe something that came with the computer like some kind of hardware monitor utility or something?

My instructions came from Microsoft. If you want to disable active startup apps then you do in the Startup Apps interface. The task manager only controls programs that are already active so it's daft to ask someone to turn off a program on start up after the device has already started up

False. Look in your own Startup Tab in Task Manager. That's where windows gets that stuff from. There is no "Startup Apps Interface". I have everything in mine disabled and it's been that way for years. It still lists almost everything that has an option to startup when windows starts.

If you turn it off via the Startup Apps interface, it's an absolute termination of the app where no other program can interfere and it will remain off. The task manager outlines the same information but any changes made through there can be overwritten by programs and Windows updates.

No I use the proper built-in interface that you deny exists even though I've posted a screenshot of it

False. Again. I don't mean offense but when someone shares incorrect / inaccurate information it needs to be corrected. I'm not trying to offend in any way, trying to educate.

If what you're referring to as the "interface" is the options window that appears when you open start menu and type Startup that loads AFTER windows and the desktop GUI and file explorer and everything else starts. Task manager is active before all that stuff is active.
Task manager is first.

If used to be msconfig which is a backend control for boot.ini but they've moved it to Task Manager. Not the options screen in file explorer.
