Lenovo Y50-70 Terrible Lag
So every time I play a game on this laptop, it lags, no matter what game it is.
Actually, it's not internet lag or fps lag, it's just that the fps counter gets to 5 fps for like 1 second from time to time. (lag spikes).
GTA 5 works at 40 fps on high settings, but every 30 seconds I get a lag spike.
The same goes for Trove, and even CLICKER HEROES!! (Yes, clicker heroes).
Path of Exile is completely unplayable, with lag spikes every 5 seconds. (but I don't know if it's because of my laptop because it was unplayable on my desktop PC too).
Is there any way to fix this? I installed Advanced System Care 8 but it's the same.

Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit
GeForce GTX 960M
Intel® Core™ i7-4720HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.60 GHz)
8GB Ram
1TB Disk Space
Drivers up-to-date? Playing plugged in?
I used to run Skyrim in low at 40 FPS in a 880M until I updated my drivers and now I have smooth 60 FPS in ultra. Also, plugged in while playing games is a must, or you will get random FPS spikes aswell.
Yes to both questions.
