I have the same issue with downloading Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. I just upgraded to Windows 10 so that may be causing the issue? I have downloaded this game 3 times with the same result..

This is what the error message is on my Content_log

[15-08-03 02:16:35] AppID 241930 update canceled : Failed to move staging folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading/241930 (Disk write failure)

Hopefully someone has an answer.

I'm having this issue too, just upgraded to windows 10 and now my game wont install. How would i install to a different folder? I've tried basically everything else i can think of, besides reinstalling steam, might a well give this a shot.

WAIT! I just fixed it. Right click on steam an click "Open File Location". then find and open the "steamapps" folder, and select the "common" folder. you will see a list of folders for all the games you have downloaded, and one different type of file for the game you are downloading (for me it was just a white page). simply right click on that other file and click delete, then hit resume download on the steam menu, and it should finish with no problems.

You are a god. I was about to ask for a refund. Ended up downloading GTA V twice because I thought the download failed at the end the first time. Took 12+ hours both times.
