Have you set Chrome as your default browser? Does it open automatically when you click on a link in an email? If it does then it should also open when you click on a link in Steam.

Chrome is my default internet browser. But when i click on links in steam it uses IE. Is there somewhere in steam to change this?

Steam uses your default setting for the OS. If it isn't working, it can't be set to default.

No, I'm afraid there isn't. Steam should be following the settings in your PC's registry and using Chrome. I'm afraid I can't shed any light on this as I use FireFox and my PC automatically opens that. Any Chrome users reading this who have any ideas as to what might be happening here?

really? Thats so strange! Can someone give me a link to try and open to see if it still uses IE? I dno where to search on steam to find a link aha! :3
Change your default web browser to Google Chrome. In Google Chrome, open the menu (three horizontal bar beside the URL bar) -> Settings... -> Default Browser.

Note that if you use a User Account on your computer and then start Steam with Admin Permission, Steam will use settings from Admin Account. Can also be when a new game is installed.

A related problem: when I load FSX, the menu appears in the left side of the main FSX window and the big window to the right shows new products, etc. When I click "Store" in the left menu, my default browser (Chrome) opens; however, when I click on an ad in the big window to the right, IE v.11 opens. Any way to change that?
