Pre-Installed Steam Games

Hello, I just recently reset my computer, except my drive with my steam games on it. I just downloaded Steam back again, and when I put all the games in the ''common'' folder, no games pop up in the library. Do I have to download them again? Please help, I downloaded these games over a 100mb internet, doing it again now will slow and painful.

You're not a mathematician, don't make things more complicated than you have to.
Just use your old Steam installation.

How do you do that? I put the games in D:\Steam\steamapps\common which is where the games should be correct? But they aren't poping up in the library and when I click ''install game'' it says discovering existing files, but I think it started downloading all over again.

Have you copied the appmanifest files too?

Wait. You only have the games there and not your actual Steam installation? In that case, all you can do is start downloading and hope that Steam will discover existing files.
For the next time, just move your whole Steam installation. I have Steam in D:\Steam and should I ever format C:, my Steam will be right there, waiting for me.

The Steam games I have now were on my D: drive when everything got reset, but I didn't put the actual Steam application in there so Steam was deleted.

Then you can only hope that Steam will discover the existing files.
I suggest you put your Steam on D: right now.

No, I didn't I think I needed them for it. All I have is the game directory folders. Though I only have 2 app manifests now, probably from a game I tested and a game I'm ''downloading'' now.
