(tutorial) How to launch Steam Games with Cortana! (windows 10)
Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
Make a copy of the steam shortcut.
Rename steam shortcut to your game, (or what you want to say to launch it) ex: counter strike
Right click shortcut and edit the "Target" line, add -applaunch "STEAMAPPID" (no quotes) to the end of it. For example CSGO is 730 so the target line should look like this.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 730
Place this shortcut to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Ask cortana to open it and
...
PROFIT!

It seems like you did not rename the shortcut, Is there a shortcut named "trove" in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder?

Restart your pc! The registry for the start menu gets out of wack and needs to reload!. hkey_current_user>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>UFH>SHC

Would have uploaded the video in better resolution, but I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm on a crappy Windstream internet connection. Less than 1mbps upload speeds...Sucks.

Some weird thing is happening with my Cortana. I'm trying to get her to open the game "Trove", and it works fine opening it and it runs, but Steam is associating my hours played in Trove as having been playing ArcheAge instead. I just tried it out, by opening Trove myself through right clicking the steam icon and selecting Trove. I looked to see what my last played game was on my profile and it was Trove. Then I asked Cortana to open Trove and it opens. I closed it, looked again and it says I played ArcheAge, what the heck is going on? LOL I don't even have ArcheAge, and never played it before, but now suddenly I have 3 hours played! :steamfacepalm:

Edit: I did look up the Trove app ID, is it not the right one? Am using 304050 in the target line.

lol, the thing is that they both use glyth (knockoff of steam) XD I have no idea

Yeah, I deleted the shortcut for Cortana. I guess I won't use her to open that game at least lol.

This doesn't seem to work for me. I did everything as described and she just asks "Start which app?"
