F710 Logitech controller do not work in Windows 10 [SOLVED]

Open Device Manager, right click on your unknown F710 device, Update Driver, "Browse my computer, "Let me select from a list", find Xbox 360 Controllers on the list, and select "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" and then "Use driver anyway" if you get a warning

I don't know if its because windows is more up to date but I had to reload my PC and these solutions no longer work for me. I can't even find the xbox driver listed anymore.

Going to revive this thread because I found it useful. But the manually adding the drivers (mimicing the Xbox 360 controller) worked great for the Xinput mode of the Logitech F710

Hi.... I can not seam to work out how to do this... I can see the f710 in "Devices and Printers" but not in "Device Manager".

It is listed as "Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2" in "Devices and Printers" but I can not see it in device manager.... any ideas?

Yours is set to directx mode. Flip the switch on the top of the controller to set it to xinput mode

Found this https://superuser.com/questions/974476/logitech-wireless-gamepad-f710-not-working-with-windows-10 this fixes finding the controller in the( X mode) For fixing the (D mode) you need to install http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/wireless-gamepad-f710/downloads# the Logitech Gaming Software . If you click on the 32-bit space you can select the 64 bit software. this will install the drivers for the rumble 2 controller that you need for the (D mode). You also get a Profiler software for setting up games that don't have support for controllers.

For me this fix was suddenly broken in the recent round of Windows 10 creator updates - Applying the fix again didn't work until I tried the 2009 driver version.

You should end-up with an executable named lgs510_x64.exe or lgs510.exe, depending on your OS install.
(Running the installer directly will tell you it's not supported on your system. The actual drivers inside this package will work in Windows 10! In fact, it's just an installer inside another installer.)

Once you have the package, use an archive extraction program such as 7-Zip to open the executable (or try changing the .exe extension to.zip). Inside the executable the archive extraction tool will show two folders:

$_32_
$PLUGINSDIR

Go into the $_32_ folder and you will see an executable named lgs510_x64.exe, but you'll notice the icon is different. This is the REAL Logitech driver installer. Just run it and it will install the drivers with no problem.

errrrp!... This issue was actualy pre windows 10 and has been solved by Microsift so the drivers are now useless... also a solution at the time was to use XBox drivers

I had been using my F710 for years with installing X360 wireless receiver driver. But it is not working anymore. When I update driver, it says updated but actually it does not install any driver and device manager stays same. Listing Logitech F710 instead of Xbox Controller. What should I do?

Mine did the same but the controller still works. I had to apply a config template to it in the Settings>Controller>General Controller Settings menu. Make sure it is checked to support generic I just applied the standard xbox config. The recent update changed things a bit but I'm betting if you play with those settings it will work.

When I last had the problem I ended up getting a PS4 controller and before I got it from Prime I had the issue with the 710 resolved. Good thing too. I still like it over xbox and PS4 controllers.
