Do you mean, Steam Settings? On steam settings my controller is not listed. It is listed at Device Manage only. And I can't update driver to Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver anymore. How does your device listed in Device Manager?
I think I should buy another controller. It is a shame that a working controller is useless due to a stupid driver problem.

How is that a solution to an unrelated issue? That's not resolving the issue that's giving up on resolving it and buying a replacement.
Previous issues I've had over the years.
1. My computer is playing up.....I'll buy a new one.
2. My computer is slow.....I'll buy a new one.
3. My computer is stuttering.....I'll buy a new one.
4. My computer is noisy.....I'll buy a new one.
5. My computer is hot up.....I'll buy a new one.
6. My computer is crashing.....I'll buy a new one.
7. My cars radio is playing up.......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
8. My cars alarm is playing up.......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
9. My cars is overheating ......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
10. My cars is smoking from the exhaust.......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
11. My cars is squealing.......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
12. My cars is making a grinding sound when I break......I'll solve that by buying a new car.
Great solution.. Not. Solutions with minimal cost
1. Virus check, defrag drives, reinstall windows
2. remove all the junk
3. Wipe and reinstall drivers
4. Clean system of dust
5. See 4
6. Reinstall Windows
1-6 Can be interchanged and some may require a hardware change. 1 part not the whole thing.
7. Disconnect/reconnect it.
8. See specialist to fix it.
9. Top up Coolant
10. Replace exhaust
11. Replace Fan belt
12. Replace brake pads
7-12 interchangable.
Had I just purchased another different product the issues would still had remained unresolved and cost me thousands unnecessarily
I totally agree with you on this context. Still I had owned this Logitech F710 for years. Always I had to resolve this issue for some windows update or another problem. Even at some point I had to reformat my computer at some point in order to get my controller working, and everyone has a threshold. And it was this year for me.

Does it also happen to you that after reboot receiver is not recognized and you just need to simply re-plug it, in order for it to be properly recognized again? I know I fixed this little issue somehow before v2004 but don't remember what I did :)
I ended up using version 10.0.19041.1 of the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows driver and it worked fine.
With X-Input mode working and recognizing the device, I could use the Logitech Gaming Software to install the driver for D-Input mode.
I'm hoping commenting will remind me of the fix (at least until Windows 11).
Thanks for posting!
Dude i have been struggling with this for over 3 years when i swapped my HDD to SSD, you are a god sent, Thanks for the amount of 3 years i spent unable to play with my controller that looks exactly like the one that the Titanic submarine used as a control for the ship, i bet they didn't update the drivers like you did, lol.
