[SOLVED!] Internet speed fine but not fine!?!?!
ok i use frontier for my internet (i hate it with a burning passion) but it gets the job done.

for some reason when i analyze my internet speed through system mechanic it says i get an avg of 1mb per second.

but when i go to download a game it downloads at 32kbs

im for once unsure how to fix this issue.

i did do a factory reset on my pc 2 days ago and when i installed steam i have a feeling i chose the wrong option when it asked what internet do you use.

Open Steam. Click "Steam" and then "Settings". In the new window, go to the "Downloads" tab. Confirm that "Limit bandwidth to" is set to something reasonable, or no limit whatsoever. Try changing your download region.

It may be that the nearest region is simply under heavy load at the moment. Try picking another region that is relatively close by. It also wouldn't hurt to close any other programs that might be using your Internet. Obviously if you share Internet, this could be the source of the problem. If you are connecting via wifi, try connecting via ethernet. Finally, it's possible your ISP is throttling your Steam downloads.
