Steam trade banned (Currently trade banned) Problem
I have a few question about Currently trade banned.

1. how long i can trade it again?

2.If a large amount of people report you for scamming, will i got this trade ban automation?

3.Will it happen if someone trade me a scam skin, and steam banned both of us?

4.When i got trade banned, why i couldn't go to steam support and report to steam?(when i click the website, it only show me "error_unknown ( ADR_6305049763 )" )

PLZ help me becoz i just got it a day and i was surprised and helpless...

@tcf4ergQ, since you violated Steam rules, your trade ban/market ban can be temporary or permanent depending on the violation. If a large amount of users do report you for unfair trading/scamming etc, then Steam will look at the reports and they decide if they will ban you from trading and using the market.

Steam cannot lift your trade ban, you need to contact Steam Support about your ban. Here in the forums, we cannot help you with this.

1. The ban notification will tell you how long it's for. If it say's permanent; you wont be able to trade ever again on your account.

2. You only get banned if you've broken any rules. Credibility of reports matters - quantitiy doesn't.

3. If you knowingly receive a stolen item; you are laundering which equates to a permanent ban. The person who stole the item will also be banned for life.

4. Try accessing Support in the client on on a different browser. Be warned though; they wont lift the ban or disclose as to why you are banned for security and integrity reasons.

Steam don't block IP's - they ban accounts. You can't solve this problem either. The article that Vavle have attached to the ban notification explains everything in detail of what is acceptable and what isn't in the trading platform. To keep it simple, you're either banned for scamming, laundering, fraud, trading outside the windows or bot usage. Steam have conclusive evidence of wrongdoing but they wont disclose exactly why you're banned.

If you knowingly accepted a stolen item, this constitutes to laundering which equates to a permanent ban and could be the reason as to why this has happened.

I'm not entirely sure about the bot usage aspect but the article Valve attached to the ban notification explains this in more detail.

Considering that can be used to automate Steam Community Market processes; and is thus against the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

Could be.

@J4MESOX4D
Will steam tell me the reason of trade banned in steam support? I don't want to read that bot message about steam policy.

Thank you for your help again

They wont disclose back to the user the reason for the ban but it's likely for one of the reasons I've posted above in #6. If you conduct any trading business outside of Steam on 3rd party sites or embroil yourself with users that can't be trusted; you run the risk of getting banned. You can contact Support but they will just confirm the ban and link direct you to the appropriate trading articles as they have done so in the original ban notification. Once they've got back to you; they wont discuss the matter further. It's unfortunate that you wont discover the prcecise reason but at the same time, Valve have to protect their integrity in respects to delicate decisions they make and for security reasons.

Steam Support already have conclusive evidence to suggest that you've broken the rules in the trading platform which warrants a permanent ban. Bans of this nature aren't a mistake and they cannot be appealed.
