FNAF 4 Steam Overlay problem

I have been gifted FNAF 4 by an friend and have installed it and played the game. Still playing. However my steam overlay is not working when I start the game as it simply does not start. I can not broadcast while playing the game for friends or type with friends in the middle of the game.

Edit: Just seen J4MESOX4D's comment appear while I was typing, as the community hub lists lots of people with the same issue my link probably wont help, but I'll leave it here just in case.

Yes I have, and steam overlay works in any other game I have currently installed. It just does not work in FNAF 4. I do not know the cause of it. But maybe FNAF 4 activates an program that it needs that makes it not possible for me to not use steam overlay. I don't know.

Read in the game forum I posted - the developer has not fixed this yet and it's broken for everybody. It's not an issue your end.

Oh, well I couldn't find it. My bad. What makes me think how the hell do the people broadcast in steam in FNAF 4 if steam overlay does not work.
