why is my ssd so full ?

i have i 250 gb ssd all i have on it are windows and a couple programs and all thats left is 25gbs like wtf .

but you can try deleteing temp files
computer -> right click on yoru ssd -> general tab -> disk cleanup button

says 217gbs is being used and of that 217gbs 177gbs is coming form the '' program files (x86) '' folder . so how do i know which file in that folder is taking so much so space so that then i can move it to my other drive . says windows is only using 20 gbs so something is up .

Keep expanding the tree. It should go down to the specific file(s).

Try using CCleaner to get rid of temporary files.

thanks guys turns out steam and uplay was taking all the space on my ssd . and for some reason when moving the uplay files thy deleted so i have to redownload 2 of my games ,but my ssd is free now .

wow some of my saves are gone , and dont see my self starting over .


ok my splinter cell blacklist saves is gone and when i try to unistll it my pc tells me it is unistalled but i can still start the game .

Sounds like you have messed up with the duplicated files pretty badly.

yup , its just my uplay games steam games are fine .

If you going to put Game Clients on the SSD (which does help speed them up a bit) then go into their options in the app and re-direct where your games install to; so those can reside on (HDD) D, E drive, etc..

Origin and Uplay only allow one place for all the games to go; so yea make sure it's not the SSD. You can move them quite easily though.

Did you actually click on the Play button and run the game? The registers for the files may remain but the actual content may have gone already.

But if the game is indeed running well then all the files are still somewhere in your drives. I can't tell you exactly as I don't know what your configurations are.

in uplay i can press play and the game will play . but in programs and freatures the game isnt there to unistall i use 8.1 .
