Afterglow xbox 360 controller not working

My afterglow controller was working fine and then one day it stopped. It still flashes and light up green but noting else. When I look under devices I dont see afterglow controller but instead seabus controller for some reason.

Uninstall the driver, unplug the controller, plug it back in. It should reinstall.

i did and it came up as unrecognized

Try using the official Xbox 360 controller driver:

it came up as seabus controller again with a port as unrecinized. I just need it to detect its a after glow and tthen i can get it

I rtied and i have a normal conrtoller for 360 that recently broke but i used on my pc before.

Can you try the controller in a different USB port to rule that out as a problem?

it makes a noise when i hit the center button and tries to connect then says device not recognized

You could try contacting Performance Designed Products, the maker of the controller. Not sure if they will help or not, but it can't hurt to ask:

PDP just says the device wasnt made for the computer so it may not work, I an having a similar problem. Except mine did not work at all, only flashes green once and i cant do anything with it
