Someone gifted me a gut knife doppler FN and I accepted and the next day I was trade banned. Someone help please.

This makes no sense.

Contact Steam Support.

The person who gave it to you probably scammed or stole it from someone else.

Yeah, what FFL2 said. The person who gave you the item scammed it from another person.

I don't think so because I then traded the item away and and I checked the persons profile that I traded it to and they didn't get banned. The guy I was trading forgot to add in my butterfly knife and he accidentally sent me a gift instead but I accepted it. That is the guys fault. I don't know why I got trade banned because it's not my fault he sent me a gift. I contacted steam support, no response yet :/ thanks for your reply

You got a free CS:GO knife? Someone sent you a trade offer and included their knife but didn't request anything from your inventory?

Yes, someone accidentally gifted it to me, they forgot to add in my knife for their items and just sent as gift. I got banned for accepting -_-

That isn't very believable. Clearly you should have rejected the offer. No one gives away free knives.

-_- He wanted to trade for my butterfly Crimson web BS. I told him send me trade offer and he did but he just sent me a gift with his 4 items ( Gut knife Doppler FN, Ak redline FT, Glock water elemental, P90 Asiimov) I later traded away the gut knife, an awp asiimov ft and the glock for a Bayonet Case hardened FT. Next day, I wake up, banned.

NOT MY FAULT THAT THE GUY SENT ME A GIFT. NO REASON TO DECLINE A GIFT.

Argue til you're blue in the face, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out you were taking advantage of the other person. You knew this was a mistake and accepted anyway. It's no different than seeing someone dropping their wallet in a parking lot and not realizing it. You cannot keep a wallet that you obviously know belongs to someone else.

What if the wallet was gifted to you?

You should've done the honest thing and declined. You earned your ban.

The intent was to trade knives as you already mentioned. The intent was not for them to gift you a knife.

And yet they gave me a gift.
Not my fault.

Why didn't you decline the trade and tell him that he forgot to select your item?

He made a mistake and you took advantage of it because you are selfish.
