CS:GO VAC error, Steam Repair tool not working
I keep getting an error from CS:GO saying: "An issue with your computer is blocking the VAC system. You cannot play on secure servers."
I run through the steam page on how to fix this, use the run command to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair"

This brings up a steam client service box and it never resolves itself.

Need help thanks.

Ps. Running Comodo firewall & Avast antivirus.

This isn't a fix.
First, have you found that its your firewall that actually causes the issue?
I'm having trouble with the command prompt lines in that they are not deleting the specified elements.

Those options shouldn't be there anyway.
So, do you know exactly that the firewall is causing the problem?

The firewall is not causing the error, I've managed to successfully use the steam repair tool.
However, this does not resolve the CS:GO VAC error.
As per the VAC fix instructions it instructs to use the command prompt and use the "bcdedit" commands. Two of these commands do not work / successfully complete.
These are: "bcdedit /deletevalue nointegritychecks" and "bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions".

Wait. So two of them complete? Is that what you're saying?

Those are the two that do not work.

I'm trying a fresh install, hoping that will change things.

So two complete. This is a problem, they should fail!
Do they complete again after a reboot?

What? Okay...
I see, I've been reading the instructions wrong... :/
The only one that successfully works is turning the debug menu off.

This leads me to beleive its probably a firewall issue.

Sorry man seems I've been screwing around with you (un-intentionally).

Wait. Previously you've sais that two commands complete. Now only one completes? Anyway, do they complete successfully again after a reboot?

I'll test that now.

Yes the restart denies all command prompts.

Just tried the ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair ) with no success, the window opens but does not resolve it self.

Yes the restart denies all command prompts.
Then your VAC problem should be solved assuming this was the cause. Still try again after a while. These options should be off. Someone or something turned then on. The question is if this something keels turning them on.

Any way of finding out what is turning them on?

I'm also assuming that the trigger is malware. (reasonable assumption?)
